Yet even in the absence of war, nuclear disarmament, poverty, HIV/AIDS, environmental and energy issues strangle global efforts towards peace. Meanwhile, most governments are involved in an ongoing game of greed over the logic of science and common sense.

Peace is not a symbol. It is a mindset.
